Function

Often the role of a designer is to find the balance between functionality, style and budget. Remove one of those three as an important criteria and developing a design plan would become a much easier task. Design plans commonly begin by addressing the functional aspects of a project. (This is true particularly in remodel projects for homes whose original design was based on technologies that are out of date). Once the desired functionality has been defined, the designer can begin to integrate the style and budget into the design plan and product selection process.

Quality

The design industry if full products that look great but will not perform well over time. We feel that a designer should be able to advise their clientele on the technical as well as the aesthetic aspect of the building process.

Environment

To design an eco-friendly home or remodel project, it is important to utilize sustainable resources. Equally important, if not more so, is that the constructed space is utilized for as long as possible. If a product does not perform well over the long term it is not sustainable. We can help direct our clients to high quality environmentally friendly products.

With our design build experience it’s easy for us to provide accurate cost estimates along with our design plans or design to a defined budget. Our design services are available for $75.00 per hour or we can give you a fixed price for your project.
